As a mother and a daughter, I provide the care that I would want my family to receive. I love and appreciate working with clients of every age, learning style and culture. My journey to becoming a speech-language pathologist started when I became a caregiver to my mother and watched her struggle with stroke and aphasia. I experienced first-hand the need for good communication and the impact a therapist can make.

When working with my patients I like to find the activities and targets that inspire each individual to move forward while having fun. The key is that I’m having fun myself, because they’d know if I wasn’t!
It's important to customize therapy for their needs, so that they have the communication tools for their life – giving them their voice for humor, family, productivity and independence. When helping people regain or improve upon what's important to them, I also think it's critical to work as one team with parents, caregivers and other intervention staff, and to celebrate every hard-earned victory.
